Orígenes.
En 1928 George Massiot Brown es un artista que trabaja para la empresa de impresión Lochend, que se acercaron a Sandeman. Sandeman solicitó algunos diseños de posters, y la silueta de Don nació. Vestido como los españoles caballeros de Jerez, con la capa de un estudiante portugués y el sombrero de ala ancha, el Don es una figura oscura, dramática, con su vaso de color rubí Porto. George Massiot Brown era consciente de que los artistas franceses del cartel estaban muy en boga, por lo que firmó su obra de arte como G. Massiot para ocultar su origen escocés. Pocos imaginaron que el don sería el primer logo icónico de un vino. Reconocido en todo el mundo, El Don representa el misterio y la sensualidad que transmite la marca Sandeman.
Trayectoria.
La Bodega Sandeman posee un don especial y nunca mejor dicho. El conocido como el "Don de Sandeman" es un misterioso personaje nacido en el año 1928 para representar la marca. Sandeman es una de las bodegas más importantes de Oporto. Conocida mundialmente, es una de las bodegas que merece la pena visitar. Mientras esperáis el comienzo de la visita podéis aprovechar para echar un vistazo al museo de la bodega donde encontraréis datos de interés como los inicios de la marca, creada por un joven de origen escocés en 1790, o la evolución de su publicidad a lo largo de los años.
