Los comienzos.

En 1974, la familia Bertè-Cordini se hizo cargo de una de las bodegas más históricas de Oltrepò Pavese: Cantine Francesco Montagna, fundada en 1895. Los miembros de la familia Bertè-Cordini, Natale, Mariella y Antonio, comenzaron un nuevo capítulo en la empresa, pero decidieron quedarse. El nombre original como homenaje al fundador. Con el paso del tiempo, los miembros de la familia Luca, Marzia y Matteo se unieron a la compañía aplicando los conocimientos que adquirieron durante sus estudios y experiencia laboral. La compañía lleva a cabo un proceso enológico detallado desde el cultivo del vino hasta la elaboración del vino para obtener la mejor calidad y al mismo tiempo ser fiel a las características naturales de la uva.
La familia posee 15 hectáreas de viñedos ubicados en las ciudades de Montù Beccaria y Zenevredo. Las altitudes de cada viñedo varían de 150 m snm a 280 m snm. El suelo está compuesto principalmente de marga con una buena mezcla de arcilla y piedra caliza. La edad de los viñedos varía de viñedos plantados recientemente a viñedos de 50 años. Los principales varietales cultivados son los locales y más característicos del Oltrepò Pavese como: Pinot Nero, Croatina, Ughetta, Uva Rara, Riesing y Moscato. También se cultivan variedades internacionales como Chardonnay, Sauvignon y Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dos líneas de productos
La línea "Primo Fiore" Bertè & Cordini está compuesta por vinos tintos, rosados, blancos, todos muy fáciles de beber y que destacan por su carácter crujiente, y vinos spumanti que se elaboran con el método Martinotti. La selección "Crus Storici" incluye todos los vinos de viñedo único. Estos pequeños viñedos son de bajo rendimiento pero ofrecen vinos expresivos y ricos en personalidad. En total, esta línea de productos se compone de 3 vinos tintos y 4 vinos blancos. Nuval y Valmaga son vinos tintos, ambos envejecidos en barriles y Sabion también es rojo pero ligeramente espumoso. Los vinos de viñedo único restantes son Masaria, Lughet, Cà Nova y el aromático Üsela.
Bertè & Cordini también producen tres versiones del Oltrepò Pavese Metodo Classico:
Cuvée Nero d'Oro - Blanc de noir hecho de uvas 100% Pinot Noir
Cuvée della Casa - Cuvée de 85% Pinot Noir y 15% Chardonnay
Cruasé - Rosé de 100% Pinot Noir.
