Filosofía.
Trabajamos con variedades autóctonas como la Garnacha y la Cariñena y extreme los cuidados en nuestros viñedos ya que el secreto de nuestra calidad está en cuidar la materia prima. En nuestro solemos decir que de unos viñedos extraordinarias sale una uva extraordinario. Y de una uva extraordinario sale un vino excepcional. Esta es la principal razón por la que sólo elaboramos vinos de viñedos propios, algunas con más de cien años de antigüedad. Cuando tienes tesoros como estos no hay nadie mejor que tú mismo para cuidarlos. Siguiendo las normas de producción integrada nos esforzamos para obtener vinos con personalidad y marcado carácter ampurdanés y las 100.000 botellas que elaboramos anualmente son el fruto de esta manera de entender el vino. Avanzamos hacia el futuro sin perder de vista nuestras raíces que nos gustaría que si nuestros antepasados nos pudieran ver se sintieran orgullosos de cómo hacemos las cosas.
Clima.
En Garriguella disfrutamos de un clima Mediterráneo privilegiado para nuestras viñas: inviernos fríos pero sin ser demasiado intensos y veranos calurosos pero templados por las brisas marinas.
Incluso la Tramontana, el fuerte viento del norte tan habitual en el Empordà, es una característica favorable para nuestros vinos ya que seca los viñedos, evita humedades y ayuda a encontrar la maduración idónea. Además, les aporta un carácter propio y nuestros vinos llevan orgullosos su marca.
suelo.
El suelo es la base de donde la uva toma sus nutrientes y el agua que necesita para poder vivir, crecer y madurar. La gran mayoría de nuestra superficie cultivable es de terreno pizarroso.
Estos suelos son ácidos, pobres en materia orgánica y tienen buen drenaje; condiciones ideales para la plantación de viñedos. También les aporta un alto grado de concentración y mineralidad, lo que hace que nuestros vinos tengan este marcado carácter ampurdanés.
situación.
En Mas Lunas somos afortunados de tener un paisaje tan rico y diverso. Limitamos al norte con los pirineos que en invierno nos dan unas vistas únicas de las montañas nevadas.
Al este tenemos el Mediterráneo con sus aguas tranquilas y sus arenas de playa fina y al sur la llanura verde ampurdanesa que cuando la miras te transmite una tranquilidad tanto difícil de encontrar en las ciudades.
